EARTH QUAKE < Explanation Text >

Do you know what earth quake is? ....I believe that every one of you know this popular yet terrific phenomenon often occurs in our lovely country Indonesia. This also shook Aceh through it's more dangerous than it - effect called Tsunami on 2004. Well, I would share little bit about this phenomenon - as I cite it from wikipedia org.
An earthquake (also known as a quake, tremor or temblor) is the result of a sudden release of energy in the Earth's crust that creates seismic waves. The seismicity or seismic activity of an area refers to the frequency, type and size of earthquakes experienced over a period of time. Earthquakes are measured with a seismometer; a device which also records is known as a seismograph. The moment magnitude (or the related and mostly obsolete Richter magnitude) of an earthquake is conventionally reported, with magnitude 3 or lower earthquakes being mostly imperceptible and magnitude 7 causing serious damage over large areas. Intensity of shaking is measured on the modified Mercalli scale.
At the Earth's surface, earthquakes manifest themselves by shaking and sometimes displacing the ground. When a large earthquake epicenter is located offshore, the seabed sometimes suffers sufficient displacement to cause a tsunami. The shaking in earthquakes can also trigger landslides and occasionally volcanic activity.
In its most generic sense, the word earthquake is used to describe any seismic event—whether a natural phenomenon or an event caused by humans—that generates seismic waves. Earthquakes are caused mostly by rupture of geological faults, but also by volcanic activity, landslides, mine blasts, and nuclear tests. An earthquake's point of initial rupture is called its focus or hypocenter. The term epicenter refers to the point at ground level directly above the hypocenter
Thus an earthquake can be called as apocalypse "a terrific disaster" if it occurred with it's more dangerous than it - effects.
Well, I could finally thanks to you for sharing your comment about it. Anyway I would like you to discuss this following questions:

1. What is earthquake in your mind?
2. How does earthquake happen? (explain a simple process)
3. How should Indonesia prevent a fatal impact of earthquake when it happens?
4. Find and attach one or two links about earthquake disaster that ever happen in the world <put the link into your comment.

WHY THE DOG AND THE CAT ARE ENEMIES

A man and his wife once had a golden ring. This ring had special powers and whoever owned it would always have enough to live in.
One night, the ring was stolen. As soon as it was out of the house, they became poorer and poorer, until they began to starve. Their dog and their cat wondered how they could help. At last, the dog decided to try to get the ring back.
The cat liked the idea. They set of on their journey immediately. The two animals came to a great river, and since the cat could not swim, the dog took her on his back and swam across the river. The cat crept quietly into the house and retrieved the ring. Quickly, the cat returned to the river where the dog was waiting. He carried her across once more. Then they started home together. Since the cat could scamper straight across the roof-tops, she arrived home well before the dog. She gave her master the ring. "What a good cat she is!" the man told his wife. "We shall give her plenty to eat and care for her like our own child."
When, at last, the dog arrived, they were- angry with him for not helping. While the dog was chased out to live outside, the cat just sat there purring and said nothing. The dog was angry with the cat for cheating him out of his reward. Since then, whenever he saw the cat, he would chase her.
From that day, the dog and the cat have been enemies.

Wordpress iPhone

Attention Apple-gadget-owning WordPress users! Have you been using the WordPress iOS app for iPhone and iPad? Or maybe you tried it a while back and thought it wasn’t for you? Either way, the new release — v2.6 — will knock your socks off. Why? A bunch of reasons:
  • Video. Record, upload, attach, and play videos within the app. Yay for being able to catch your friends’ and co-workers’ most embarrassing shenanigans creative moments with iPhone video and publish them immediately for all the world to see on your WordPress site.
  • A total rewrite of the way local drafts are handled, to prevent the unintentional loss of your pending posts.
  • Autosave/post revisions. Bam! One of the “oh, thank goodness” features of the web app makes it into the iOS version.
  • Easier setup. Faster and easier process for adding your sites to the app.
  • Media Library. We’re gradually getting closer to the media management you’re used to in the web app.
There are also numerous bugfixes and performance enhancements in this release, so if you haven’t been using the app lately, you should consider giving it another try. I’m personally pretty excited to start using the iPhone version more often now that there are all these fixes and new features. Especially the video upload. You know, for those creative moments that make life fun

National Hero Day

Here comes Nov 10th, which we commemorate as national heroic day. Do you know what happened at that time?
SURABAYA November 10th, 1945.....
There was an outstanding combat, in which our hero, fought against colonialism under the treat of Allied Forces. Do you know that this combat was only for the sake of allied revenge to our nations since the commander of English Forces, W.S. Mallaby was killed in a small combats against our combatants. The Allied Forces might never know thousands life of Indonesian were dead for their bomb, tank, and machine gun.
It was a combatant, well-known as Bung Tomo, burned out the spirit of Surabaya people, and for larger impact that Indonesian People, who had driven the combats for " Bambu Runcing (sharpened bamboo stick)" against machine gun, tank, and grenade. as the result, this even was acknowledge by world, became a outstanding record of our struggle to defend Indonesian Freedom....

And in the name of heroism, we invite you to post your comment about what is " a heroism" and How is heroism to be applied in this day....
